A.A Residence

A private home lit not room by room but as a single continuous composition. The entrance, living areas and circulation share one family of fixtures; scale and light intensity were adjusted for each space.

Our Design Approach

A.A Residence is a private home in which the house as a whole, rather than the individual rooms, was treated as a single lighting composition. We established a neutral base that supports daylight during the day, and an atmosphere whose warmth increases in stages in the evening. A sculptural chandelier on the high ceiling of the living room defines the centre of the space, while the seating corners come down to human scale with floor lamps and wall lights. The family's daily rhythm was analysed and morning, evening and night scenarios were programmed separately.

Layers in Residential Lighting

General, functional and accent layers were applied consistently across all floors. High colour rendering task lighting in the kitchen and bathrooms; low-level wayfinding for night-time safety in corridors and on stairs; dimmable bedside units in the bedrooms. Indirect light was chosen in the children's rooms for visual comfort. All fixtures were produced in our workshop within the coherence of a single collection.

Materials and Details

Antiqued brass, opal glass and textured metal finishes form a common language throughout the house. Suspension lengths were adjusted on site against the ceiling levels; all light sources are long-life, replaceable LED modules. Before handover, a night-time test fine-tuned the scenarios.

Process and Warranty

As in every project, the process began with a survey: the space was measured, sample units were submitted for approval, production was completed in our workshop and installation was carried out by our own team. All fixtures were delivered with long-life LED sources and easy-to-maintain standard lamp holders and access details. After handover, a commissioning visit fine-tuned the light levels under real conditions of use; our products are covered by warranty against manufacturing defects.
