Arel Showroom

A complete concept home built as a showroom, where every room presents a different family of fixtures in situ. Brass, crystal and opal glass pieces were scaled to real ceiling heights, so each one reads exactly as it would at home.

Our Design Approach

Arel Showroom was conceived as a concept home in which every room tells a different living scenario, and lighting is the main character of that narrative. A sculptural chandelier composition in the living room, softly lit pendants in the bedrooms, rhythmic wall lights along the corridors and floor lamps in the reading corners. As visitors walk through the showroom they are really walking inside a lighting catalogue: every product is experienced within a real living scene, at the right scale and the right colour temperature. This turns product selection from an abstract catalogue decision into a lived impression.

Balance in Showroom Lighting

We built a two-layer system in the concept home: the decorative fixtures on display, and the concealed architectural lighting that supports them. The concealed layer was kept neutral enough to show the material and the light of the decorative products exactly as they are; glare and shadow clashes were resolved one by one. Every room is controlled by its own scenario, so the sales team can switch a room to daytime, evening or reception mode with a single touch. The entire process from production to installation was carried out by our own team, and every product on display can be delivered from stock exactly as shown.

Light Planning and Comfort

Throughout the showroom we used high colour rendering sources so the true colour of the products on display can be seen; the temperature varies between 2700 and 3000 Kelvin depending on the room scenario. Brightness differences were graded along the visitor route to prevent eye fatigue. Each room is controlled on independent circuits, so the sales team can move between product-focused presentation, living scenario and reception mode with a single touch. The whole system was engineered flexibly enough to adapt to new product displays.
