A backlit amber glass and bronze panel system running from the entrance to the lounge turns the lighting itself into a wall surface. Suspended amber elements above the reception repeat the same material language at ceiling level.

Our Design Approach

At Merit Crystal Hotel in Cyprus we delivered a comprehensive lighting programme along the entrance, lobby and lounge axis. The signature of the project is the backlit amber glass and bronze panel system running the length of the lobby: a wall that establishes a background of amber warmth through the day and turns into a golden light enveloping the whole space in the evening. The welcome desk and the lounge seating islands were accented in front of this backdrop with pendants detailed in crystal.

A Five-Star Welcome Experience

A hotel lobby determines the guest's impression in the first second. The route from the door to reception provides natural wayfinding through a graded increase in brightness, while the waiting areas were kept dimmer and more intimate. Hundreds of LED modules were individually calibrated for the light uniformity of the amber glass panels. The colour temperature was held constant across the transition between bar and lounge, giving a consistent atmosphere in photographs.

Production and Logistics

The panel system and all decorative fixtures were produced in our Istanbul workshop; island logistics, customs and on-site installation were managed by our own team. Delivered before the high season, the project was commissioned without disrupting the hotel's operating schedule.

Process and Warranty

As in every project, the process began with a survey: the space was measured, sample units were submitted for approval, production was completed in our workshop and installation was carried out by our own team. All fixtures were delivered with long-life LED sources and easy-to-maintain standard lamp holders and access details. After handover, a commissioning visit fine-tuned the light levels under real conditions of use; our products are covered by warranty against manufacturing defects.
