TCK by Kıraç

A suspended installation of slender rods and cables descending through a double-height atrium beneath a corten ceiling panel. It was composed to suit the void, so the piece reads as a whole from the entrance, from the bridge and from the upper floor.

Our Design Approach

The atrium of the TCK by Kıraç office building, with its void rising through the floors, was the main stage of the project. To fill this vertical volume we designed a suspended installation of slender rods and wires drifting down through the space. Hundreds of light points create the effect of rain glinting on metal surfaces during the day, and in the evening they turn into an identity element read from the building's facade. The density of the installation changes floor by floor: dramatic unity when seen from the ground floor, elegant transparency when seen from within the floors.

Engineering and Installation

In a suspended system of this scale, safety and alignment are decisive. The load-bearing details were engineered in line with the building structure, and every suspension point was individually tension tested. Installation progressed floor by floor from platforms erected in the atrium void, without disrupting use of the building. The drivers for the light points were gathered in accessible shafts so maintenance can be carried out from a single location. For corporate use, brightness levels were divided into working hours, evening and weekend scenarios.

Light Identity in Corporate Spaces

In corporate buildings, lighting is the physical signature of the brand. In the TCK by Kıraç project the installation was brought to the same colour temperature as the lighting of the reception, waiting and circulation areas, establishing a consistent language throughout the building. High colour rendering sources show the true texture of the materials, and glare control was resolved taking the glass facade reflections into account. The result is a space that is comfortable for employees and memorable for visitors.

Process and Warranty

As in every project, the process began with a survey: the space was measured, sample units were submitted for approval, production was completed in our workshop and installation was carried out by our own team. All fixtures were delivered with long-life LED sources and easy-to-maintain standard lamp holders and access details. After handover, a commissioning visit fine-tuned the light levels under real conditions of use; our products are covered by warranty against manufacturing defects.
