Titanic Port Bakırköy

Lighting for the guest room categories as well as the lobby lounge, bar, breakfast restaurant and meeting rooms. The ceiling fixtures were sized to the scale of each space, so the public areas and the rooms share the same calm, warm tone.

Our Design Approach

At Titanic Port Bakırköy we ran a programme covering all guest room categories together with the lobby and public areas. In the lobby, grand chandeliers carrying the scale of the space establish the first impression, while in the rooms, headboard wall lights, desk fixtures and decorative pendants were designed in a comfort-focused arrangement. The material language was maintained between categories, with the richness of detail increasing towards the suite floors.

Consistency Across the Hotel

To deliver the same light experience in hundreds of rooms, all units were produced to series production tolerances; the colour temperature was fixed at 2700 Kelvin and brightness levels were standardised by room type. The meeting and ballroom spaces were tied to scenario control, so the atmosphere changes within seconds according to the type of event. The restaurant and bar areas were set apart with separate collection pieces carrying their own character.

Installation Process

Installation progressed floor by floor according to the hotel's occupancy plan and operation continued uninterrupted. Delivery and installation were carried out by our own teams; after handover, a commissioning tour optimised all scenarios on site.

Process and Warranty

As in every project, the process began with a survey: the space was measured, sample units were submitted for approval, production was completed in our workshop and installation was carried out by our own team. All fixtures were delivered with long-life LED sources and easy-to-maintain standard lamp holders and access details. After handover, a commissioning visit fine-tuned the light levels under real conditions of use; our products are covered by warranty against manufacturing defects.

Our Light Comfort Standards

Throughout the rooms we standardised glare-free focused light at bedside reading points, colour accuracy in front of the bathroom mirrors, and low-level wayfinding lighting through the night in the corridors. The colour temperature was held constant at 2700 Kelvin on all floors; high colour rendering sources show textile and timber tones truthfully. Thanks to scenario control, energy consumption fell considerably compared with the previous installation.
