B.B Residence

A complete lighting design for a private home. The brief required the fixtures to read as part of the interior architecture, so proportions were set from the first sketch onwards against ceiling heights and furniture layout.

Our Design Approach

B.B Residence is a private home lit from a single source across all its floors. The brief was clear: continuity rather than display. A chandelier carrying the scale of the space in the living room, lowered pendants in the dining area, soft wall lights on the bedroom floor and guiding light bands along the corridors were all designed within one collection language. Colour temperature and the sense of brightness do not shift as you move between rooms; whichever door you enter by, the house offers the same calm atmosphere.

Layers in Residential Lighting

We built three layers in the home: general lighting, functional light and atmospheric accents. High illuminance in task areas such as the kitchen counter and reading corners; dimmable warm light for television and relaxation scenarios; and narrow-beam accents for artworks and niches. All circuits were tied to scene scenarios, so the owners can switch to guest, evening or night mode with a single touch. Every fixture was produced in our workshop and installation was coordinated with the site programme.

Material and Detail Choices

Brass, smoked glass and metal finishes with a hand-worked texture became the common ground of the project. The drop of every fixture was adjusted on site against the ceiling levels; in the bedrooms, bedside wall lights were chosen with swivel heads to suit the reading angle. Long-life LED sources and standard lamp holders make maintenance easy. Before handover, all scenarios were tested and fine-tuned under both daytime and night-time conditions.

Process and Warranty

As in every project, the process began with a survey: the space was measured, sample units were submitted for approval, production was completed in our workshop and installation was carried out by our own team. All fixtures were delivered with long-life LED sources and easy-to-maintain standard lamp holders and access details. After handover, a commissioning visit fine-tuned the light levels under real conditions of use; our products are covered by warranty against manufacturing defects.
